Our verdict: 3.4 out of 5
Credibly earns 3.4 out of 5 because it tells you more about price and payoff than most cash advance companies, then loses ground on a fee that complaints say catches owners off guard. For its own cash advances and working capital loans, Credibly underwrites and funds the deal itself; lines of credit, long-term loans and SBA loans come from its network of external funding partners [3][4][5]. In California, its cash advances are provided by Retail Capital LLC [1].
Three things decide whether Credibly fits you. First, the fixed debit: Credibly sets a daily or weekly amount at approval from your revenue at that time, and it does not move unless you ask for a reconciliation credit [1]. Second, the extra fees: a 2.5% underwriting fee collected through your first remittances and a $50 administration fee every month on a cash advance [2]. Third, the stacking fee, which shows up in complaints far more than on the website [10].
Pros
- Starting factor rate, underwriting fee and monthly admin fee are all published [1][2].
- Written 20% discount on the factor portion for a lump-sum early payoff [1].
- Approval in as little as 2 hours, funds as fast as 4 hours after [1].
- No collateral and no personal guaranty on the cash advance [1].
Cons
- The $50 monthly admin fee comes on top of the factor cost [2].
- No published top factor rate, so the floor is the only number you can check [1].
- Fixed debits; relief needs a reconciliation request [1].
- Complaints describe a 10% fee for taking other financing mid-deal [10].
Products, amounts and who qualifies
Credibly's cash advance runs from $5,000 to $600,000 over 3 to 24 months [1]. It is a purchase of part of your future receivables, and Credibly says on its own page that it is not a loan [1]. The working capital loan is a separate product starting at $25,000 [3]. Below are the minimums each product page lists.
| Product | Amount | Term | Min credit | Time in business | Revenue or deposits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Merchant cash advance | $5,000 to $600,000 | 3 to 24 months | 550 | 6 months | $20,000 a month [1] |
| Working capital loan | $25,000 to $600,000 | 6 to 24 months | 550 | 6 months | $20,000 a month in deposits [3] |
| Line of credit (partners) | $5,000 to $300,000 | 3 to 24 months | 700 | 6 months | $20,000 a month [4] |
| Long-term loan (partners) | Up to $10 million | Up to 120 months | 680 for 10-year products | 2 years | $500,000 a year [5] |
| Equipment financing | Varies | Varies | 500 | 6 months | $25,000 a month in deposits [12] |
Credibly's own pages disagree on the cash advance bar. The homepage asks for 6 months in business, $15,000 in monthly revenue and a 500 credit score [6]. The cash advance page asks for $20,000 and 550 [1]. Plan on the stricter figures.
Cost, payment schedule and speed
Credibly prices the cash advance with a factor rate that starts at 1.11 [1]. Multiply the amount by the factor rate to get the payback: $50,000 x 1.11 = $55,500 at the floor. On top of that, direct deals carry a 2.5% underwriting fee paid through the first several remittances, and every cash advance adds a $50 monthly administration fee [2]. The working capital page shows the same math for its loan: $50,000 at 1.11 plus a 2.5% fee of $1,250 comes to a $6,750 financing cost [3].
Debits come out by ACH every business day or every week, sized to your revenue at approval, and they stay the same for the life of the agreement [1]. Market factor rates run from about 1.1 to 1.5 [8], so a 1.11 floor is near the cheap end, but your offer may land well above it. Run it through our MCA calculator before you sign.
Speed is Credibly's strongest selling point. Approval can come in as little as 2 hours and funds as fast as 4 hours after approval [1]. Applying uses a soft credit pull, and you start with bank statements and a government ID [1].
Early payoff, reconciliation and the stacking fee
Pay the whole balance in one lump sum and Credibly can cut the factor part of what you sold by 20% [1]. On the $50,000 example, the factor part is $5,500, so the discount is $1,100. It applies only to the factor portion, only with no defaults and a timely payment record, and Credibly may require a wire [1]. Credibly also mentions an Aggressive Early Remittance Discount that keeps the origination fee in place; ask your rep to write down its size [2].
If a month comes in below projections, you request a credit for the overage through Credibly's reconciliation process [1]. That is a real right, but it works only if you ask, so keep your bank statements ready and ask in writing.
The fee the website does not explain
Several 1-star reviews describe a stacking fee charged when an owner took other financing during a Credibly deal; one puts it at 10% of the original amount [10]. Another says debits continued after a paid-in-full email because of a stacking fee left out of the payoff figure [10].
Before you sign, find the clause on additional financing and ask what it costs if you take a line of credit or another advance before this one is done.
Complaints, reviews and the public record
We read the first three pages of Credibly's Trustpilot reviews on Oct 21, 2026: 60 reviews, 40 Verified and 20 Unprompted [9]. The organic 20 averaged 4.4 stars. Two of them described a refinance or restructuring request turned down after signing, and one disputed the stacking fee [9]. The 1-star filter adds renewals refused at 80% paid and a partner that sent an owner's bank statements to other lenders [10].
BBB gives the Southfield office an A+, accredited since 2010, with 0 complaints filed in the last 3 years [11]. We searched FTC releases, the New York and New Jersey Attorney General sites and news coverage and found no action naming Credibly.
On your data: the privacy policy allows Credibly to share your information with affiliates for marketing and with its external funding partners when you ask for a product, and allows autodialed or prerecorded marketing calls and texts once you consent [7]. If you only want Credibly's own products, say so in writing.
Alternatives to Credibly
- Fora Financial: publishes both ends of its factor range, 1.13 to 1.50, and an early payback path.
- Rapid Finance: ties cash advance debits to a percentage of your receivables instead of a fixed amount.
- Kapitus: goes up to $5 million but asks for 2 years in business and a 650 score.
- OnDeck: a term loan with a published average APR, worth a look with a year of history.
