Named writers and reviewers
Each page shows who wrote it, who reviewed it and when it was last updated. Reviewers are people with hands-on experience in business funding, payments or the law the page covers. Until a named reviewer has signed off, the page shows no reviewer at all instead of borrowing a name.
Our writers and reviewers work for Batch Group, which owns Business Funders and its services Batch Capital and BatchOut. We say so on every author bio. See how we make money.
Facts come from primary sources
- Every number and every claim about a law, product or provider is checked by a person against a primary source: the statute, regulator, provider's own pricing page or contract, or official data.
- Each page lists its sources with the date we checked them.
- If we cannot source a number, we leave it out or write "Not disclosed".
- Costs are shown as general, dated ranges, never as a single teaser number or a personal offer.
- Pages about law say they are general information, not legal advice, and give an "as of" date.
No AI-only drafts
Every page is written or reviewed by a named person, and every fact is checked by a person. We may use software to help with research or a first outline, but no page is published from an automated draft without a person writing, checking and signing off on it.
How often we update
Every page is rechecked at least once every 12 months. Pages with prices, rates or law are rechecked sooner when the source changes. The "Updated" date changes only when a person has rechecked the page.
Corrections
If you spot an error, tell us through our contact page. We check it against the source. If we got it wrong, we fix the page, note what changed and when at the bottom of the page, and update the date.
Words we will not use
We do not call a merchant cash advance a loan or its cost interest. We do not promise approval, and we do not use countdown timers, fake scarcity or made-up reviews. Our scoring method is published.
