This policy covers the Business Funders website, which is owned by Batch Group LLC ("we", "us"). It describes exactly what this site collects today. If that changes, we update this page first.
What we collect
1. Your quiz answers
When you take the quiz we ask what you need (funding, lower processing fees or both), how much, how soon, what it is for, time in business, monthly sales, an estimate of your personal credit score, your industry and your state. If you ask about card processing we also ask your monthly card volume, your current monthly fees if you know them, and whether you take cards in person, online or both.
These answers are kept in your browser's session storage, so they disappear when you close the tab. If you tick "Remember my answers on this device", they are also kept in your browser's local storage until you untick it, choose "Forget my answers" or clear your browser data. Your contact details are never stored this way. If you use "Share these results", your answers (never your contact details) are written into the link you share, so anyone with that link can see them. Answers are not sent to us unless you submit the contact step. We do not check your credit.
2. Your contact details, only if you send them
If you ask for offers, we collect your name, business email and mobile number. If you ask us to email your results, we collect only your email address.
3. A record of your consent
When you send the contact step we store whether you checked the consent box, the exact consent wording and its version, the date and time, your IP address, your browser's user agent and the page you were on. We keep this to prove what you agreed to, and what you did not.
4. Where you came from
To learn which pages and searches help people, this site sets two first-party cookies (bf_vid, a random visitor id, and bf_first, the site or campaign that first sent you) that last 90 days, and keeps a list of the pages you visit on this site in your browser's local storage. We keep only the name of the site that sent you (for example google.com or chatgpt.com), never what you searched or asked there, and any campaign tags on the link (such as utm_source or an ad click id). None of this leaves your browser unless you send the contact step; then it travels with your request. You can clear it at any time by clearing this site's cookies and storage in your browser.
5. Site analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and steps people use, so we can make the site clearer. It sets Google cookies (such as _ga) and sends Google your IP address, browser details and the pages you view, under Google's own privacy policy. We do not send Google your quiz answers or contact details. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on.
6. Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider records basic request data, such as IP address and time, to run and secure the site.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with lead buyers or a list of partners.
- We do not use advertising or retargeting scripts on this site. The only outside analytics tool is Google Analytics, described above.
- We set no cookies other than the two first-party cookies and the Google Analytics cookies described above.
- We do not pull your credit from the quiz.
Who receives your information
Only the Batch Group company that handles what you asked for:
- Funding requests: Onyxx Media Group LLC d/b/a Batch Capital.
- Card processing requests: Batch Group LLC d/b/a BatchOut.
- If you ask about both, each receives its part.
Batch Capital is a commercial financing broker, not a lender. It shares your application with a specific funder only after you say yes to that funder. Service providers that host and run this site process data for us under contract and may not use it for anything else. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Funding requests from these states are not accepted yet, and we do not pass them to anyone: VA, CT, TX, MO.
Calls and texts
We call or text you about your request only if you ask for offers. Automated calls or texts happen only if you checked the separate consent box, which is never required to get your results. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or tell the person who calls. We honor opt-outs right away.
How long we keep it
Quiz answers that you never send stay only in your browser: in the tab, or on your device if you chose to have them remembered. Contact details and consent records are kept for [retention period to be set by counsel], then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Send a privacy request through the form on our contact page and we reply by email. Depending on where you live, state law may give you more rights; we will honor them.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Contact details go straight from our server to the one desk named above. No method is perfect, so we collect only what we need.
Children
This site is for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any change here with a new effective date. If we ever add analytics or another service that touches your data, it will be listed here before it goes live.
