Our verdict: big amounts, little price information, wide data sharing
Biz2Credit scores 2.3 out of 5 on our funder method. It is a New York fintech platform that says it has helped 200,000+ small businesses get more than $10 billion in financing [15]. It is not itself a lender. Revenue-based financing comes from Itria Ventures, its wholly owned subsidiary; term loans come from Itria or Cross River Bank; and other products, including SBA loans, come through outside lenders that use its technology [1][5][6].
Three things decide it. First, almost no cost information is public, so every offer has to be judged on its own first page. Second, applying lets your information travel: the privacy policy authorizes sharing with other funders, even on deals Biz2Credit declines [19]. Third, the record: in March 2024 Biz2Credit and Itria agreed to pay $33 million to settle FTC charges that they misrepresented how fast pandemic-era PPP loan applications would be processed [23].
Pros
- Large amounts: term loans to $2 million on the product page
- Written true-up right on revenue-based financing
- No fee to apply or create an account
- Phone help 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET on weekdays
- Revenue-based financing open to 575 FICO
Cons
- No published prices for any product
- Privacy terms let other funders see your file, even after a decline
- $33 million FTC settlement in 2024
- Its own pages disagree on maximum amounts and terms
Products, amounts and what you need to qualify
Biz2Credit says almost all of its customers use revenue-based financing, and only a small share qualify for a term loan [7]. Its pages do not always agree on size. The homepage lists term loans up to $5M over 12 to 60 months [14], while the term loan page says $25,000 to $2 million over 3 to 60 months [9]. The homepage shows revenue-based financing from $25k to $2M+, while that product's page says as much as $5M+ [11]. Ask for the limit that applies to you in writing.

The 2025 average term loan was $261,364 [10], which tells you the term loan is aimed at established companies. For an SBA loan, Biz2Credit may help you apply through a participating bank, but neither it nor Itria issues SBA loans [5]. For a comparison, see our list of best SBA lenders.
Cost, fees and payoff: what is and is not public
Biz2Credit's FAQ answers the pricing question by saying it depends on the product and your creditworthiness, and that a detailed summary of pricing and other material terms is on the first page of each financing agreement [4]. There are no fees to apply or open an account. Once you are approved, closing fees are taken out of the money you receive and listed in the agreement [3].
Revenue-based financing is a purchase of future receivables, not a loan. Itria buys part of your future business receipts at a discount and collects an agreed percentage of them until the agreed amount is reached [2]. The cost is set by a factor rate, and Biz2Credit does not publish its range. The FAQ gives you a right of true-up, or reconciliation, so payments come only from your actual receivables [2]. Use it: if sales drop, send your bank statements and ask for the reconciled amount in writing.
No early payoff policy appears on the pages we read, for any product. One BBB complainant disputed an early payoff discount deadline [21], so ask whether your contract has one and what it saves in dollars. Put any offer into the offer comparer to turn it into a total cost and estimated APR.
Read the security terms
Revenue-based financing is secured by a UCC lien on your receivables and business assets and usually needs a personal performance guaranty from one or more owners [8]. Term loans carry a UCC lien on business assets and usually a personal guaranty [7]. A lien can show up when you apply elsewhere.
Complaints, the FTC settlement and what reviewers say
The FTC case is the most serious item on the record. On March 18, 2024, the FTC announced that Biz2Credit and Itria Ventures agreed to pay $33 million to settle charges that they advertised PPP application processing of 10 to 14 business days when the average took well over a month [23]. The case was about pandemic loan processing, not today's products, but it went to how honestly the company described its process.
BBB lists 33 complaints in the last three years [21]. Of the ten it shows, four are about calls, texts or data use after applying, and four about collections or hardship: a lien that stopped a major client's payments, hold letters sent to a borrower's customers, no deferment after a disaster, and a settlement dispute [21]. One more said two payments were taken after the company agreed to skip a week [21].
| Source | What we found |
|---|---|
| Trustpilot headline | 4.6, 15,737 reviews, 83% five-star, 10% one-star [20] |
| Our Trustpilot sample | 60 reviews; 16 Verified and 8 Invited (40%); 36 Unprompted |
| Unprompted average | 4.7 stars; 16 five-star posts dated Aug 13 or 14, 2026 |
| BBB | A+, not accredited; 33 complaints in 3 years [21] |
| BBB reviews | 4.17 stars across 76 reviews [22] |
| Regulator action | FTC settlement, $33 million, March 2024 [23] |
The Trustpilot sample looks strong, but one detail made us discount it: on the third page, 16 of the 17 Unprompted reviews were five-star posts dated August 13 or 14, 2026 [20]. Reviews arriving in a burst like that tell you less than a steady stream. The one complaint about payoff in our sample came from an Invited reviewer who said a payoff letter requested in June had still not arrived [20].
How applying works, and who sees your file
You create an account, get a prequalification estimate if you are eligible, and then submit a full application with three to six months of bank statements, your business tax ID, your monthly revenue and photo ID for every owner [1][9]. A prequalification estimate is not an offer. Decisions can come as fast as 24 hours [24].
The bigger choice is about your data. By applying, you authorize Biz2Credit to disclose your information and documents to "any bank, financial institution, factor, company providing merchant cash advances or receivables financing or other business funding," including on deals it first declined, and those funders may share it with others [19]. The policy asks you to tell each funder directly if you no longer want its calls [19]. A New Jersey owner should expect the same; we found no state rule on the pages we read that changes this.
For help, call 800-200-5678 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET [16]. Applicants are usually assigned a funding specialist, listed on the account dashboard [1].
